i watched the video. it says very similar things he is proposing now. but on some fundamental issues i dont agree at all. ron paul is an small townguy who opposes anything that costs money from medicare to farm subsidy. the real reason is his refusal to name the real culprits the zionist banksters in his book that makes me suspicious.

I urge you sir to take a look at Dr. Ron Pauls threads from 1987-88 (there are some of them still around, even i suspect fans have put them up;-). You will notice somthing funny, he said the same thing then. Start with "cigarettes better than money".As for the Zionist connection etc, I leave that sort of thinking to you, but try atleast to get familiar with his policies. I think you will discover he even oppose military aid to any country, he is the one who wants to remove them.

dont confuse my argument for gold as investment versus gold as currency.the key point is this lie fiat money by its own flaw creates inflation, on the contrary it can do the opposite contract the money supply and easily create deflation.

You do know Dr Ron Paul was the only candidate who called to get our troops home right?, in fact if you go more into his writings you see he strongly argues that we should also remove them from the 142 other countries we got bases in. "We just whent in, we can just go home" he said calling on Iraq. Afghanistan he voted to go after Osama bin laden, but not to nationbuild and "stay" in Afghanistan. And remember, every empire in the worlds history has ended with an economic collaps.

your point on the current economic mess is right and i am not too opimstic either. former treasury officer paul craig roiberts has brilliantly expounded the views on the situation. read or listen to him. but ron paul's fans must not forget it is the unnecessary wars of zionist aggression that is causing overspending. also most of world's gold supply is controlled by rothschilds and oppenheimer.

Yes in an nill zero system. You completly ignore the fact we are already trillions of fiat dollars in debt...EVEN FED can not contract without total collaps as result! Furthermore as foreigners OWNs our debt. It is actually in their power to do this now.."call in their loans"= same collaps. Hence inlfation is only option.
