Product Development and Niche Marketing Ideas: Part 2

Nu Wave OvenProduct Development and Niche Marketing Ideas: Part 2

In Part 1 of this series I gave you a resource of products sold using direct mail.

Let’s take this “Idea Generator” one step further.

What about all of those late night infomercials? How did those products do… and what did those who purchased the product think of it.

The reviews are mixed.

Some loved the product they purchased… some said they were outright scams.

Product Development and Niche Marketing Ideas

Got my \The Big Idea for the day!

I don’t know about you… but sometimes it just seems like my brain freezes up — much the way it does when I inhale a Swirl at Uncle Julio’s through a straw (a swirl is a frozen feast of margarita and sangria).

Doesn’t matter what I do — pull out my cheat sheets… spend an hour at Clickbank, etc, etc… but nuttin — might as well head on over to Uncle Julio’s.

My brain is frozen.

Product Development and Niche Marketing is a tough business.

You first have to learn how to use all the “tools of the trade”… Camtasia, Video Camera, web site or blogging software, Graphics programs, how to create ebooks and pdf’s — then you have to figure out how to get people to your site.

Wears me out just thinking about it — and that’s not even a full list of stuff you need to know.

Clipmarks Unleashed ~ just another way to build links

I’ve received a few emails (questions) on Clipmarks Unleashed.

Since I’ll more than likely receive these same questions over and over… I’ll just make a post and refer people to it.

First let me say, there is no fancy seo tricks or anything you can not figure out yourself in Clipmarks Unleashed — it is easy stuff once you know how.

Clipmarks allows you to do “remote blogging” — while Clipmarks Unleashed simply shares with you how I do it. I have had some good results using Clipmarks… I rank pretty good for a lot of the keyword phrases I have targeted.

Link Building ~ the Holy Grail to High Search Engine Listings

Link building… the “Holy Grail” to high search engine listings?

Not sure I’d go as far and say that — but many seo Experts say it’s so.

I can say this though… whenever I have linked to a page on this blog from another using a certain technique, it always seems to rank higher.

But I do not subscribe to the “Holy Grail” line of thinking — sounds like hype to me, but it does work.

Take this phrase for example; (without quotes)

POPURLs ~ popular urls to the latest buzz

popurlsPOPurls

This is just a quick FYI post on a great resource.

Like you… I only have so much time in a day — and here lately, there is not enough time in the day to get everything done that I need to - so I need to streamline a few of my daily tasks.

If I had about 4 more hours in every day — that would about fix me up.

In order to keep up with trends… whats popular… and what people are talking about, I visit quite a few social networking sites and forums - and this takes a lot of time. Continued

Micro Niche Finder ~ Review

Snap6.gifMicro Niche Finder

This is one tool every serious blogger needs to have in their toolbox.

I don’t give many product reviews on this blog… I do have affiliate links scattered around — over on the right hand side, a few 125 x 125 images that promote what I feel are pretty good products. Some I’ve used — some I have not.

I like the 125’s though — they add a bit of contrast and liven up the blog a bit  :-)

Above the 125’s there is an image promoting Entrecard — a good way to drive some extra traffic to your site. Jack Humphrey has a new "Special Report" at Social Power Linking on using Entrecard — the "ins and outs" if you will on how to maximize your traffic using Entrecard.

Google Assassin

I just wanted to give a quick update on Google Assassin from my perspective.

To make this short and sweet.

I’ll first say how can you argue with or dis a guy (Chris) who makes a cool million bucks a year? He obviously knows what he is doing or he would not be making the kind of money that he does.

I’ve read in a few forums where people were bad mouthing Google Assassin - saying it was hyped up and over rated (guess they make a mil a year too). Like I have always said - it just depends on where you are in the Parade and your level of experience.

If you already make thousands a month (or a day) using Google Adwords and selling Affiliate products - more than likely you do not need Google Assassin - but you may pick up a few things. It is hard to be everything to everyone. You are not Chris’s target market.

On the other hand - if you are someone who needs a model to follow - a system pretty much in place to follow - tried and true methods to make money with Affiliate Marketing and Google Adwords, then Google Assassin may be a perfect fit. Like I said earlier - it is not for everyone.

If you are just starting out with Affiliate Marketing - or if you have yet to reach the level of success you want, you may want to give Google Assassin a shot. He is giving a 56 day guarantee so it is a pretty safe bet. If you do not like it, just request a refund.

That’s pretty much it on Google Assassin. Take a look and see what you think.

You may want to hurry though - I received an email he is raising the membership cost on Monday, November 26th (that is today) within 24 hours. Lets see if he does?

Operation Black Box

Operation Black Box…

What a package, but I cannot give a real review because I have not purchased it (and it is not yet available), but I am familiar with some of the products on the site.

It is truly something I am thinking of purchasing, only because of the number of products Sean Wu is providing in the Operation Black Box package that you can resale.

This has been one of the main ways I have made money over the years - selling Private Label or products with Resale Rights.

I’ve always found it easier to resale products that are proven sellers than to create my own. In fact, this is usually the direction most people take once they have some experience under their belt as an affiliate selling products for others.

You are now able to sell your own products, because you now own resale rights to them - but you did not create them. So instead of splitting the profit, you get to keep all the money.

It is truly a great business model.

One argument I’ve heard in the past on selling "PLR or Resale" products like this is that thousands of other people will be selling the same product. Even if they did - so what. It is all about the marketing anyway. But truthfully, most people who purchase packages like Operation Black Box will never do a thing with it.

I purchased a video series months back - I know for a fact that 40 or 50 people at least (really more like a couple hundred) purchased the same package. But when I do a search for the common phrase - I only find two or three sites selling the same product. So the reality of it is, most people do nothing.

If you are tired of selling products where you get a split or small part of the selling price, this may be something worth checking out, as there are a few products that I know for a fact are really good sellers.

Only thing is… the site does not go live until November 20th - so you are getting a bit of a heads up. But check it out… watch the video on the main index page and look at everything Sean is offering.

Stay on Target

"Stay on Target"…. the first time I ever heard that phrase was one Saturday while I was channel surfing and landed on one of those old black and white War movies.

I had forgot about that phrase until last night when I made a comment to a post on a forum.

I went off into a mild rant… nothing major - just gave my thoughts on the new ebook they were talking about.

One of the hardest things for me personally is to "stay on target" with my marketing. Every day there is something new with the latest and greatest mind blowing - traffic generating - product developing piece of software while doing it all sitting in my underwear or even while you are lounging in Hawaii.

I’ll be the first to admit, I used to be a sucker for all the latest and greatest stuff - I’d even say I was a "serial" purchaser - buying every new product and joining just about every new  membership site on the web. I was an info junkie. No… I would say I was a pure "Addict."

I’ve pretty much given up buying every latest gizmo that comes out and it has not affected me in the least - but I do at times have withdrawal symptoms.

It can truly become like an addiction that we can justify to ourselves.

I know that whenever I bought some "latest and greatest" ebook or software I knew it would benefit my business. But the reality of it is that it does not. It might sometimes - but I’d dare to say 95% of the time it doesn’t.

What buying all of this stuff really does is gives you a false sense of security in thinking you are moving forward. Some products do in fact help, but the majority do not. Most of the time - you wind up losing your focus on what you were doing, and jump off into some new direction.

As many "latest and greatest" products that come out - you will never be able to build a sustainable business changing course or methods all the time.

What you really need to do is quit buying every new product that comes down the pipe and put to use the knowledge you already have. You already know more than you think you do.

Think about it. How many of your friends or family members know how to do what you already know? In the majority of cases it will be very few.

So stop the insanity and put into practice what you already know. There is no "magic bullet"… there are no real "secrets"… maybe some methods you do not use - but not secrets.

This statement hit home with me personally, so I will share it here;

"Losers are always waiting for inspiration…. while the Winners just roll up their sleeves and do the job."

So like the title says above….

Stay on Target! and just do what you already know.

GoTryThis Blackhat Version Available

If you told me I could only keep 5 tools - GoTryThis Blackhat would be one of them.

GoTryThis was voted the "Best Internet Marketing Product" of the year in 2006 and with good reason. I will not get into all the stuff you can do with it - you can get all that off the sales page.

John is only releasing 300 copies this go round - just checked and there is 285 left - sold 15 in just a few minutes.

So you will know - I have GoTryThis Blackhat installed on every site I own (yes, even this blog). There is a work around for using it on a blog (issues with re write mod for using it on a blog) - if you get it let me know and I’ll tell you how to set it up. He tells how in the forum, but it is not real clear.

He must need some money for something as he is selling it for $197.00 - I paid $247.00 for it myself.

Like I said… this is one product I can truly endorse.

Oh yea… watch some of what it can do in the video below - just added this today (10/26/2007).
