This is somewhat of a hypothetical “Affiliate Marketing” scenario — but it’s a true story.

The affiliate program does exist… but before we talk about the company, I want to give you a few things to think about — something you need to think hard about.

Picture this if you will…

A company launches a new product that every Affiliate Marketer, Online Marketer, Realtor, Insurance Agent, Web Site owner, Home Improvement and Carpet Cleaning company wants — basically, it’s something that you and every business owner must have if you plan on staying in business.

This is not something that would be nice if you had it — oh no, it’s something you MUST have or you’ll go broke. Continued

Just a quick Sunday morning FYI post.

I decided to jump off the cliff and upgrade to Wordpress 2.5 yesterday, as my Buds at social power linking were not having any issues — they really liked 2.5 and the new admin and dashboard features.

As usual, it was not a smooth process (thanks Buds)… had an issue I could not figure out.

Something was going on that would not allow my front page to load. This has happened in the past, so I was somewhat sure it had something to do with a plugin.

I went through all my plugins — made sure they were all up to date — one cool new feature in Wordpress 2.5 is the auto plugin update. You can automatically update the plugin from the plugin page — no more downloading — FTP’ing, etc (so I thought). Continued

It’s really fun getting out of the house every now and then — I’ll have to get out more often.

You can even get a lesson or two about marketing, if you keep your eyes peeled.

Actually, I’m not sure I would call it a lesson — more of a refresher on something I know, but do not implement nearly as much as I should.

This weekend, my wife wanted to find where the Military donation station in Plano was located. She saw an ad in the paper where they were collecting clothing and home furnishings for Military personnel… so we jumped in the Hybrid and off on our adventure we went.

On our quest to find the donation center, we discovered these two ladies grabbing some rays at a petting zoo off of I-75 in Plano;

I "stumbled upon" a neat little tool that every person who owns a web site or blog needs to use.

I really should not say everyone needs to use it — you only need to use it if you are curious to know what your visitors are doing, in a visual mode.

For example — in my overnight initial evaluation of ClickHeat, I discovered my little 125 x 125 banners — those down just a bit, over on the right, received very few clicks (didn’t receive any last night).

I know they do in fact get clicked on — my tracking software supports this fact, but for the few hours that I tested ClickHeat last night - nada — not a single click.

I just finished reading an Internet Retailer article on Viral Video.

Well… it was not really on viral video — it was really on the number of sales a small company made of a DVD as a result of a YouTube video.

In 1998, the Indiana University Capella group "Straight No Chaser"  had a performance of them singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas".

The video found it’s way onto YouTube in 2006 — and like most of the millions of videos posted at YouTube, not much came out of it….

Teaching Sells.

Teaching people a skill or how to do something has always been a great business model.

Problem is, most people do not know how to teach - they may know the subject matter - but they lack the communication and organizational skills needed.

Case in point — I joined a membership site this past November. I wanted to learn how to do what this person was teaching using his step-by-step plan. Continued

Having just purchased a new Ford Hybrid Escape, this sort of stuff interest me.

I am not a tree hugger or do I buy into global warming due to emissions, I am interested in this sort of stuff from a purely selfish financial standpoint.

Is it possible to really use water as fuel in your car? There is very convincing evidence that supports the fact that you can. I’m not talking about Hydrogen… I’m talking about a form of water - HHO (water being H20 and hydrogen being H).

I’ll be the first to admit I know nothing about this stuff.

I’m just like everybody else - I run my truck all the way down til the low gas light and buzzer screams out to get some gas, then I go get some. What a painful thing that is. I drive a Ford F150 and here lately it costs somewhere in the range of eighty bucks to fill’er up.

That is one reason we purchased the Hybrid.

The F150 pretty much sits in the driveway unless my wife has taken the Hybrid to Walmart, Costco or Half Priced Books.

Anyway… I’ll let you decide if this seems like the real deal or not. I’m not to hip on trying this out on my new Hybrid as it does okay as is - but if I can get the time, I may try it out on my F-150.

If you do try this… let me know… I sure would like to know if the results are as good as they report. I cannot imagine getting an extra 10 or 15 miles per gallon. That would be incredible.

Keep in mind - they are not selling a conversion kit - they are giving instructions on how to build the device you need to burn HHO… pretty amazing stuff.
