It looks like Amazon has decided to get into the affiliate marketing video game.

I have to give a shout out to Perry Lawrence of AskMrVideo for this one — he is the one who let me know about Amazons new "Affiliate Video" widget.

Instead of creating a new video — I just uploaded a video I use in most of my testing, "Social Power Linking" overview.

After you upload the video… you are required to add at least one product that Amazon has on it’s site. Keep in mind — you need to be an affiliate for Amazon to use the service.

You can add more than one product, but you have to add at least one.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality. I really did not expect the video to be as clean and crisp as it is.

Anyway… like I said in the beginning, this is just a short FYI — you can take a look at the video I did below.

I added an Apple Laptop to the video — it will pop up twice. Once in the beginning, and once near the end.

You also choose when the slide in pop up appears.

This is yet another testament that marketing with video is something every marketer needs to do.

One of the things I hear over and over from people is how do I know which products I should be selling. Since this is a follow up to the ClickBank video… I’m going to share a service that I’ve been using for quite a long time for doing research on ClickBank products.

I firmly believe your success as an Affiliate Marketer depends on the products you sell or market. Sure - you can have some short term success hyping up crappy products but it will be short lived. I’ve personally fell into the trap of promoting products that offered a high payout… only to find out later the product was either rehashed junk, or flat out sucked.

This is why I will never give a "Positive" product review on a product I do not own.

It is to risky.

I may share with or tell my subscribers about a product I do not own, but I will let it be known that I have not purchased the product. In a previous video I mentioned Blogging To The Bank - but I did not do a review of the product. I have purchased the product, but truly - I am not sure what I think of it.

For someone who is new to blogging it would be a "must have".

But an experienced Blogger? Not to sure they need to get it. If you are a new Blogger - get it. I did not read any earth shattering or super secret techniques I was not aware of already. But a new Blogger ?… it is possible that it could become their "Blogging Bible."

Like I mentioned in a previous post - it just depends on what part of the "Parade" you are in on whether or not you would benefit from owning it.

That is the problem with doing "Product Reviews." The Reviewer is looking at the product and reviewing it from their perspective. It would be like Einstein reviewing a basic math book. It may not be of any use to him - but it may help a five year old. So keep this in mind when reading anyones review of a product.

The reviewer may be someone who knows a lot more than you on the subject - or it could be someone who knows less than you, or nothing on the subject and rates the product high.

Earlier today, someone I am currently coaching told me she appreciated all of the videos I put up on Search Engine Optimization, Product Reviews, etc… but now that she is working on a site - what does she do now?

As I do sometimes, I assumed she knew about Affiliate Marketing, how to research what products to sell - knew about Clickbanks Affiliate program, but she did not. In fact, she had never heard of Clickbank.

At first I thought this was odd - everyone knows about Clickbank, right?

Nope.

Those of us who’ve been involved with Affiliate Marketing for any length of time knows about Clickbank - but there are millions of people who never had any reason to know.

This reminds me of something Gordon Alexander said one time. Not a direct quote - but it went something like this;

“It just depends on where they are in the Parade.”

What he meant was that people are at different parts or stages of their lives - and constantly moving along the Parade per se. While one person is seeing the Marching Band play - someone else is watching the guys riding the unicycles.

A couple on their honeymoon may not be looking to purchase a crib today for their newly born child (because they do not have a baby yet)… but they may need one soon.

This same couple may not need to find a new job today - but they may need to tomorrow - again, just depends on where they are in the Parade.

This is the case with the friend I am coaching - she has never been in that part of the Parade - or stage in her life where she needed to know about Affiliate Marketing or Clickbank. She has always been happy working at her job (until it was gone), and never had a “need to know.”

This is a quick run through of Clickbank. Nothing fancy - just something I did in like 10 minutes while looking up a product I was wanting to promote (and buy). I will do another Clickbank video soon on how to choose products to sell and explain some of the terms they use (gravity, refd, etc).

I made an error in the video - I said something like they pay out 75 dollars, when it was supposed to be 75 per cent. Also… this video is a little smaller than the others - trying to do smaller videos but use the Zoom tool more.

I included a 6 minute video below on how to create a clickable link in your video description. It is amazing to me that videos on YouTube with hundreds of thousands of views do not have a clickable link in the description - heck, some do not even have a link at all.

Imagine how much traffic you could drive to your web site if you hit it big, and created a video with a million or so viewers? It could happen (but don’t forget the link to your web site).

The video below is one of 10 or 11 that I have on the How To Video membership site.

The video has an update to it on the site… YouTube changed a couple things but nothing major that affects anything you would be doing.

The author - Mr X, is a very successful internet marketer. He also sells some high dollar products as well, but he makes the majority of his money walking the talk - making money selling other folks stuff with Adwords.

I’m surprised he is selling this ebook for less than $10 - he could easily sell it for $29.95 or $39.95 as that is the range of comparable products like this from people not nearly as successful.

Check it out… for info from Mr X for under ten bucks it is a steal.
