TubeMogul Video Distribution

Video Distribution and Sharing has just became a lot easier… TubeMogul.

I was paying ninety seven dollars a month last year (for a few months) to be a member of a video distribution membership site. I cannot knock the site - they did everything they said they would and more. Problem is, I did not need the “more.”

I just needed a way to upload my videos to more than one site at a time. If you have ever uploaded the same video to eight or ten sites one at a time, you know how painful and slow this process can be.

In fact, once I had quit the $97 monthly membership and began uploading videos one at a time - I uploaded fewer and fewer videos, but I could not justify paying nearly a hundred bucks a month for the service.

I experimented with a few software programs that uploaded to multiple sites at once, but I never found one that did not bog my system down to the point where it was almost unusable.

The one “central” upload feature of the Membership site worked the best. Upload once and the service distributes the video to multiple video sites.

This is what TubeMogul does (and it is free).

You upload your video to TubeMogul, and they handle the distribution of your video to 12 of the top video sites on the Internet. It is a one shot deal where you only upload it once.

TubeMogul has many other features that I’ll not get into here - the main one being tracking. Think of it as Google Analytics meets video.

Video is one of the top “Social Marketing” methods on the web. If one of the things holding you back from doing video was the hassles of distribution - this is a solution.

On a side note - I did a few “video quality” comparisons on my other blog, HowToVideo.tv/blog - YouTube has the worst quality of all the video sharing sites (not that this is a surprise) - but they still have the most traffic. I used TubeMogul to upload these videos.
